With four channels and eight stereo inputs,
three of which are switch-able to phono inputs, it is easy to
see why DJ Times called the Club Mix "the Swiss
Army knife of DJ mixers."
Designed and built in the USA, the Club Mix offers innovative
features such as PVDJ's exclusive patent pending "Cue Mode
Select Switch". This allows the user to listen to effects
on both the cue and main signal in the headphones before they
are sent to the main outputs. For example: Let's say you want
to make a sample from any input. First, cue that input. Then,
simply flip the selector switch to cue with effects. Next, by
listening in the headphones to both the cued source and the effect
unit, make your loop. After that, you can blend it into the mains
using the effect blend control. This is adjustable from all-dry
to all-wet (or signal with or without effect).
The EQ blend control allows the DJ to choose the amount of EQ
present in the phones. This will save you from blowing your headphones
from too much bass. The voltage controlled cross-fader on the
Club Mix has both cross-fader swap (hamster) switch and taper
adjust for different mixing styles.
Any channel on the Club Mix can be assigned to either side of
the cross-fader or directly to the house outputs, allowing the
DJ to cross-fade two tracks while possibly playing along on a
synth, drum machine or beat record. An A/B compare switch allows
a visual comparison of the signals assigned to each side of the
cross-fader.
The three-band channel EQs on the Club Mix have been designed
to give you the most useful frequencies for pre-recorded music.
Add to that a "Phat" EQ control reduces mid-frequencies
and boosts bass and highs. From the recessed rear panel jack
field to the black-light reactive paint and knobs the Club Mix
is, without a doubt, the most thoughtfully and ergonomically
designed DJ mixer available today at any price.
